The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky containing great stars 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 when they were seated over it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
