The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 By the Promised Day! 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
