The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they sat by it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
