The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created of spurting water 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
