The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
