The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
