The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
