The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
