Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
