The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which returneth, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
