The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
