Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
