The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But ye prefer the life of the world 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
