Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
