The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
