The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
