The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
