The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
