The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
