The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
