The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
