Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 toiling [under burdens of sin,] worn out [by fear,] 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 On that very Day some faces shall be radiant with joy, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 and goblets laid out, 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 and well spread carpets. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. 24 To Us they will all return. 25 Ours is surely then to reckon with them. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
