Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 Many a face will be disgraced on that day. 2 labouring, weary, 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, 8 well-pleased with their striving. 9 In the high empyrean, 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 And cups set at hand. 14 cushions ranged, 15 and outspread carpets. 16 DO, THEN, they [who deny resurrection] never gaze at the clouds pregnant with water, [and observe] how they are created? 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 And at the mountains - how they are erected? 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
