The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sun and its heat and brightness, 1 By the moon when it followeth it, 2 And the day when it shows it, 3 And the night when it draws a veil over it, 4 And by the heaven and Him Who built it; 5 And [by] the earth and He who spread it 6 And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it 7 And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness, 8 He who nourishes it will surely be successful, 9 and he who suppresses it will be ruined. 10 Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression, 11 when the most wicked man among them rose up. 12 Then the messenger of God said to them, "This is God's she-camel. Let her drink." 13 But they rejected his statement as a lie and hamstrung the she-camel. For that crime their Lord rumbled down upon them, utterly razing them to the ground. 14 God is not afraid of the result of what He had decreed. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
