The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night as it envelops; 1 and the day in splendour 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 surely your strivings are divergent. 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 And believes in the best [reward], 6 We shall surely ease him to the Path of Easing; 7 But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Surely Ours is it to show the way, 12 And verify Ours is both the Hereafter and the life present. 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 He verily will be content. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.
