The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
