Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By the morning hours 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
