Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the morning hours 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
