Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
