The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the morning hours 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
