Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
