The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
