Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? 1 and relieve you of the burden 2 Which weighed down your back? 3 Have We not raised your remembrance? 4 Surely with hardship there is ease. 5 Lo! with hardship goeth ease; 6 Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labour hard, 7 and let your longing be for your Lord (in humility). 8
