The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught by the pen - 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We will now call the guards! 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
