Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Divorce (Al-Talaaq) before Exodus (Al-Hashr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Those who disbelieved from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists could not have separated (from the faithful) until there had come to them the clear evidence: 1 a Messenger from Allah, reciting from Purified Scrolls; 2 in which there are valuable Books. 3 Those to whom the Book was given did not divide themselves until the Clear Proof came to them. 4 And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion. 5 Indeed all disbelievers, the People of the Book(s) and the polytheists, are in the fire of hell they will remain in it for ever; it is they who are the worst among the creation. 6 But those who believe, and do righteous deeds, those are the best of creatures; 7 Their reward is with Allah: Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
