The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

When the earth will be shaken with a mighty shaking, 1 And the earth throws up her burdens (from within), 2 And man says, “What has happened to it?” 3 On that Day she will tell out the tidings thereof. 4 For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration. 5 On that Day will all men come forward, cut off from one another, to be shown their [past] deeds. 6 whoever has done the smallest particle of good will see it; 7 and whoso has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
