Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 And raiding at dawn 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Does he not know that on the day when those in the graves are resurrected 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
