Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
