Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
