Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
