Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
