The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
The event that terrifies the hearts! 1 What is the Calamity? 2 And what will make you know what the striking (Hour) is? 3 A Day whereon mankind shall become as moths scattered, 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool, 5 Then as for him whose balances are heavy, 6 He will live a pleasant life (in Paradise). 7 but he whose scales weigh lighter, 8 His abode shall be the abyss. 9 And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be? 10 It is a Fire, intensely hot. 11
