Al-Qaare'ah

The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The Clatterer! 1 What is the terrible calamity! 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 And then, he whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance 6 shall live in a life which is pleasing, 7 but those whose good deeds will be lighter (on the scale). 8 His abode shall be the abyss. 9 And what will explain to thee what this is? 10 A burning fire. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
