The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 What shall let you know what the Clatterer is! 3 A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool. 5 So for one whose scales prove heavy, 6 shall inherit a pleasing life, 7 But as for one whose scales are light, 8 A bereft and Hungry One will be his mother, 9 And what shall make thee know that which she is? 10 A blazing Fire! 11
