The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The Calamity! 1 What is the crash? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 A Day whereon mankind shall become as moths scattered, 4 The mountains like the tufts of carded wool. 5 Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds], 6 He will live a pleasant life. 7 And as for him whose balances are light, 8 shall be engulfed by an abyss. 9 And what shall make thee know that which she is? 10 A flaming fire! 11
