Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
