Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Greed for more and more distracted you [from God] 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the bounties (of God). 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
