Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again, no indeed; but soon you shall know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8
God the Almighty always says the truth.
