Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

Almighty Allah's Truth.
