The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 covered down upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
